I've faced a number of detractors in my career.

People who say I am too loud, or disconcertingly unpredictable. I'm unfit to lead because I crack jokes and wear popsicle pants in the office.

TOO BAD FOR THE HATERS THAT I'M RECORDED IN THE ANNALS OF GOOGLE MAPS FOR THE REST OF TIME IN THOSE DANG PANTS. *CACKLES LIKE AN EVIL BOG WITCH*

(No, they are not pajama pants. And yes, I wish I could find these again in a smaller size.)

And listen. I get it. I am a lot. I've never once in my life been described as "subtle."

I know I am not taken seriously in some workspaces. I know there are detractors in my department right now who find it laughable that I am an emerging thought leader on shaping office culture and leading teams.
